It is a simple narration of my life telling the reader where I have been, what I have done, who have helped me in various ways. You can see how the Lord has been leading me on, guiding me and enabling me through various friends. I have shared my life’s lessons with young friends.
This is not exactly an autobiography, as the author does not tell us the full story of his life from birth up to this moment. He has chosen some main aspects of his personality, some important dimensions of his life and some of his experiences and reflected on them. The essential ingredients of this book, therefore, are some of his life experiences and his reflections on them… What he is as a person — his talents, gifts, qualities, personality traits — is a great gift from God. A soft, gentle, kind, loveable person, he is able to identify the gifts and strengths of others and to generously acknowledge them. By encouraging and guiding people he calls and leads them to growth, maturity and achievement. God has blessed him with a keen intellect and discipline which have combined to make him an internationally known and highly respected theologian. At the same time his God-given talent in music has made him a creative composer of Tamil Catholic hymns. These hymns, coming soon after Vatican II, set a new trend and a benchmark for liturgical hymns in Tamil. This rare combination has made him a thinker who is able to look critically and creatively not merely on our theology — the way we talk about God, but also on art, culture and society.

But God, like the rising sun, is there as a ray of hope lighting up our life’s paths and leading us on!
